Juszkiewicz received the honour at a ceremony at the United Nations headquarters in New York on May 12.

She had been nominated by the International Catholic Committee of Nurses and Medico-Social Assistants (CICIAMS).

After receiving her nursing diploma, Juszkiewicz completed courses in neurological and anesthesia nursing.

She currently serves with the ambulance service in Kraków, southern Poland.

She has been successful in international emergency medical service competitions. She is also involved in social and charitable activities.

In 2014, Juszkiewicz inspired her superiors to send an ambulance with medical aid to the participants of the Orange Revolution in Ukraine.

She volunteered to be the registered nurse (RN) member of the transport team, which was able to take medical supplies to Lviv, and seriously injured patients from a hospital in Kyiv to an advanced and safe care centre in Poland.

In 2022, also as a volunteer, she took part in two relief operations, transporting wounded people from Ukraine to Poland.

Nurses With Global Impact is a humanitarian non-profit initiative. It aims to highlight "the field of creative, compassionate care delivered around the world, in different cultures, different venues, and in many different ways."
